{"id":184,"date":"2017-02-02T22:13:14","date_gmt":"2017-02-02T22:13:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/alexfernandez.es\/blog\/?p=184"},"modified":"2021-05-03T07:32:33","modified_gmt":"2021-05-03T07:32:33","slug":"proyectores-chips-dmd-pixeles-blancos-negros","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alexfernandez.es\/blog\/2017\/02\/02\/proyectores-chips-dmd-pixeles-blancos-negros\/","title":{"rendered":"Proyectores, chips DMD, y p\u00edxeles blancos o negros"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Recientemente adquir\u00ed un proyector de segunda mano que al principio funcionaba a las mil maravillas, pero al cabo de unos meses de uso relativamente intensivo (digamos unas 20 horas semanales) empez\u00f3 a mostrar p\u00edxeles fijos blancos o negros en distintos puntos de la imagen proyectada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como me gusta destripar todo cachivache que falla y se me pone por delante, os voy a contar un poquito lo que he descubierto en mis investigaciones y c\u00f3mo finalmente lo repar\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es un chip DMD?<br><\/strong>Las siglas DMD vienen de <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Digital_micromirror_device\">Digital Micromirror Device<\/a>, o en espa\u00f1ol, <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dispositivo_digital_de_microespejos\">Dispositivo digital de microespejos<\/a>. Es una tecnolog\u00eda creada por Texas Instruments. Aunque parezca incre\u00edble se trata de un peque\u00f1o chip del tama\u00f1o m\u00e1s o menos de un procesador de PC que tiene miles de microespejitos cuya inclinaci\u00f3n&nbsp;se controla electr\u00f3nicamente. Se utiliza en la tecnolog\u00eda de proyecci\u00f3n DLP (Digital Light Processing), que de forma resumida, lo que hace pasar la iluminaci\u00f3n de la bombilla del proyector a trav\u00e9s de una rueda de color (una rueda como m\u00ednimo con los habituales RGB -rojo, verde y azul-) que gira a alta velocidad, y los microespejos se mueven a cierta inclinaci\u00f3n para formar la imagen deseada y reflejarla a trav\u00e9s de la lente. Tal vez consigas encontrar alguien con tu mismo modelo de proyector que ya haya pasado por la misma situaci\u00f3n y haya publicado qu\u00e9 DMD tiene montado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si no lo encuentras, o prefieres estar seguro (cosa que recomiendo dado el desembolso que supone la compra del sustituto), la forma m\u00e1s fiable es abrir el proyector y empezar a quitar tornillos y desenchufar fajas y conectores, para, con mucho cuidado de no romper nada (sobre todo cuidado con la rueda de color), llegar hasta el chip DMD. Lo encontrar\u00e1s entre la lente del proyector y un gran disipador que ir\u00e1 montado sobre el DMD, ya que se calienta mucho (y esta es la principal causa de que fallen). Si necesitas ayuda con el desmontaje puedes buscar v\u00eddeos en YouTube, posiblemente encuentres alguien que ya lo haya hecho con el mismo modelo que tengas t\u00fa o uno muy similar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo se diferencian unos chips DMD de otros?<br><\/strong>La diferenciaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s b\u00e1sica es la resoluci\u00f3n nativa del proyector en el que van montados. As\u00ed pues, en mi caso, tengo un 1076-6039b. La primera parte es la resoluci\u00f3n nativa del DMD (o dicho de otra forma, los microespejos que este tiene), dicho esto&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8060-xxxx = <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">80<\/span>0 x&nbsp;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">60<\/span>0<br>1076-xxxx = <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">10<\/span>24 x <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">76<\/span>8<br>1210-xxxx = <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">12<\/span>80 x <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">10<\/span>24<br>&#8230;<br>Sencillo, \u00bfverdad?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Queda la segunda parte del identificador. Todav\u00eda no me queda claro cu\u00e1l es el patr\u00f3n, pero en mi caso <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">parece<\/span>&nbsp;(y digo parece porque esta informaci\u00f3n no la he encontrado en la web del fabricante) que la evoluci\u00f3n del 6039b fue:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6038b -&gt; 6039b -&gt; 6139b -&gt; 6339b -&gt; 6439b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Todos ellos son compatibles entre s\u00ed, siendo el 6038b la primera revisi\u00f3n, y la 6439b la m\u00e1s reciente, entendi\u00e9ndose pues que la \u00faltima es la m\u00e1s fiable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En mi b\u00fasqueda encontr\u00e9 con que Texas Instruments public\u00f3 el <a href=\"https:\/\/media.digikey.com\/pdf\/PCNs\/Texas%20Instruments\/PCN20140331000_EOL.pdf\">PCN20140331000 <\/a>a principios de 2014, en la que daba como obsoleto el 1076-6339b diciendo que su reemplazo era el 1076-6439b. Parece ser que el cambio se debe a que en las versiones anteriores utilizaban un material cuya disipaci\u00f3n era bastante mala, ocasionando el fallo prematuro de muchos DMDs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aunque no he conseguido encontrar documentaci\u00f3n del fabricante que explique la nomenclatura de los DMD 1076-xxxx para as\u00ed identificar qu\u00e9 significa cada uno de los d\u00edgitos de la segunda parte del identificador, aqu\u00ed hay mucha informaci\u00f3n sobre el sistema DLP 5500, que es en el que se usan estos chips:<br><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ti.com\/product\/DLP5500\/technicaldocuments\">http:\/\/www.ti.com\/product\/DLP5500\/technicaldocuments<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ya s\u00e9 qu\u00e9 DMD necesito. \u00bfD\u00f3nde lo consigo?<br><\/strong>Sobre todo he visto anuncios publicados en eBay y Aliexpress, aunque tambi\u00e9n alguno en Amazon. Entre 100 y 200\u20ac&#8230; dependiendo sobre todo de la resoluci\u00f3n nativa que tengas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n puedes preguntar en alguna tienda de electr\u00f3nica local. Tal vez alguno de sus proveedores pueda conseguirlo, aunque creo que ser\u00e1 bastante dif\u00edcil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aqu\u00ed te dejo unos pocos enlaces de <a tengo mi DMD nuevo. \u00bfC\u00f3mo lo monto?<br><\/strong>Si ya desmontaste el proyector para ver qu\u00e9 DMD ten\u00eda dentro, lo m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil ya lo has hecho. Ahora toca poner el nuevo en el z\u00f3calo, asegurarlo, limpiar la zona del disipador que toca el DMD, y facilitar la termoconductividad entre estos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Normalmente con los DMDs te env\u00edan una peque\u00f1a almohadilla termoconductora como la que viene montada de f\u00e1brica. Si quieres puedes quitar el pl\u00e1stico protector que lleva por ambos lados y aplicarla donde corresponda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Algunos usuarios dicen que estas almohadillas no son todo lo buen termoconductoras que deber\u00edan, y prefieren aplicar una pasta termoconductora de calidad, tipo ArticSilver. Si te decides por esta opci\u00f3n tienes que tener mucho cuidado de no excederte con la cantidad de pasta que apliques, ya que si toca los pines pones en funcionamiento el proyector, se podr\u00eda llegar a cortocircuitar el DMD dej\u00e1ndolo inutilizado, muy posiblemente de forma irreversible. Todo depender\u00e1 de si la pasta que est\u00e9s usando es conductora de electricidad o no (el fabricante seguramente lo especificar\u00e1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una vez tengas todo montado, llega la hora de la verdad&#8230; vuelve a conectar todo y suerte \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Actualizaci\u00f3n 7 febrero 2017<\/strong><br>Tras ver que cada vez que encend\u00eda el proyector aparec\u00edan nuevos microespejos bloqueados, he pedido un&nbsp;DMD 1076-6439B directamente a China a trav\u00e9s de AliExpress. Me ha costado 118.84\u20ac exactamente, portes incluidos. Cuando lo reciba y monte actualizar\u00e9 esta entrada para contar qu\u00e9 tal ha ido todo el proceso, aunque siendo que ya lo desmont\u00e9 y volv\u00ed a montar en su momento, no deber\u00eda haber problema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Actualizaci\u00f3n 14 marzo 2017<br><\/strong>Si compr\u00e1is habitualmente en China ya sab\u00e9is que es cuesti\u00f3n de un mes aproximadamente lo que tardan en llegar los env\u00edos. El 1076-6439B que ped\u00ed lleg\u00f3 hace cinco d\u00edas y anteayer me puse manos a la obra para sustituirlo. En unas dos horas lo ten\u00eda todo montado y funcionando. Hice unas cuantas fotos del proceso as\u00ed que os las voy a poner aqu\u00ed por si pudiesen ser de utilidad a alguien. Sobra decir que si alguien se anima a intentarlo y la fastidia, yo no me responsabilizo de los da\u00f1os.
